Grungy Girl Stuff

I've just gotta test this blogger thing out one more.  Please allow me another post . . . I promise, I will not abuse my posting privileges.

I need you all to know one thing---all the stories that I post are true.  I know you'll be scratching your head over some of 'em.  I've been with hubby about 40 years, and HE still scratches his head.

Like the time I INNOCENTLY asked him, "How are the people at the top of the "Mile High Stadium" in Denver able to see the game?"

Blank stare from hubby.

I patiently wait for his answer.  I truly wanted to know.

He couldn't believe that I would be so dumb as to think that the stadium itself was a mile high.  But, golly, they call it the "Mile High Stadium" afterall . . .

Scratching his head (where he is now bald), he explains, "The STADIUM itself isn't a mile high---the city of Denver is a mile high."

I shake my head . . . he hears a bunch of screws rattling in it.  Not wanting him to think I am a total idoit, I play like I understand and say, "Oh . . . I just wanted to know."

Then I hurried and left the room.

Lesson Learned:  Next time I hear of a stadium being a mile high, Google it.

Confused

Okay . . . this thing totally will not let me design my own page.  Does it know sumthun that I don't?

I just want to start out with one question .. . does anyone else get confused over continents, countries, states and cities that start with the same letter?  Like . . . can you see how confusing South Africa & South America can be, cuz they start with the same initials?  Can you see how confusing Philadelphia, Pittsburg & Pennsylvania can be?  Me too.  People who name things, ought to consider that little factoid.  Just sayin'
